Essential Oils sound so essential- - how can anyone be opposed to them?

Very interesting. Thanks.

Not sure exactly what the difference is between wet market and farmer's market, though.

Cuomo once again drew attention today to the fact that the Trump admin's absolute failure re: purchasing of ventilators and PPE caused a bidding war between states, and drove up prices. If FEMA had just stepped up and done the purchasing, then distributed the supplies, NY would likely not have had to pay inflated prices for the ventilators they've ordered (from China, btw). But "the federal government is not a shipping clerk" "governors should be doing it themselves" F*cking idiot.

They can be the same thing...

Around here, farmer's markets are generally vegetables and produce items, not live animals.

My new favorite blame-gaming - Obama used up all the N95 masks.

Which may be somewhat true, but if you've been running a business for 3 years, you can't blame the last guy for running out of stock (especially after you fire all the folks managing the stock).

not really sure what you mean here. i'm thinking you don't like these MLM schemes trying to promote them as medical cures, if i'm wrong let me know.

i dislike the whole essential oils-as-medicine thing. if you're trying to make your house smell better they're actually not that bad, it's just that a bunch of anti-vaxxers decided to hijack it and claim they could cure medical conditions.

Trump held a conference call with rural governors, and Montana’s governor explained the state can’t get test kits because the state is competing with other states & the fed gov. He said a national supply chain is desperately needed.

Here’s a summary of Trump’s response:
I haven’t heard about testing being a problem. We have great tests. We have tested more people than anyone. I haven’t heard about testing for weeks.

Here’s audio of the call.

"The issue, according to numerous op-ed articles, is when wildlife is introduced into this system. Rightly, critics note that bringing stressed animals of different species, who are all shedding different diseases, into close proximity and without any supervision, is, let’s say, not good for hygiene. At worst, it may provide the breeding ground for COVID-19, SARS and the avian flu."

From that article Kraken posted.

If anyone had bothered to watch the video from 60 Minutes Australia you'd see that this wild life trade is still to this day happening at Wet Markets. Their regulation=failed.

That may be true, but that is where they exist and also where a deadly virus that has disrupted the entire planet originated from. And their government is not able to enforce their bans. They shut one down and it just moves to another. This will continue to happen.

You cannot go to Ingles and buy a wild animal from Africa to be slaughtered on site. Why do these deadly viruses originate out of countries that have these wild life trades AT THE WET MARKETS?

If one of your loved ones get sick and die from this virus, will you continue to support these wet markets where they do the wild life trade?

Wet markets exist all over the world. They really aren't the issue here.

Didn't you eat KFC, which comes from factory-farmed chickens, just the other night?

Go choke on tortured chicken feathers, FREAK!

This motherf*cking dumbass. Asked about Cuomo's comments about his administration's failure to take the lead on purchasing, his response was "The problem is with some people, no matter what you give, it's never enough."

He thinks NY should be happy with what they've gotten, and he shouldn't be rightly criticized for his administration's failures.

My farmers' market is technically a "wet market." Maybe Damsel wants to come here and scream about how we're all freaks, and contributing to disease.

But probably not. She reserves that for the dirty foreigners who eat "weird foods."

I would hope you are all intelligent enough to understand I am referring to the wild animal trade which started this virus in the first place.

I mean, I have seen you all whine about gun control...guns. Another WEAPON just as much as this DEADLY virus which is KILLING people...maybe one of YOUR loved ones...maybe even YOU.

Those of you who support these...well I worry for your pets. What's to keep you from frying them up and eating them?

Then tell me what is the source of the virus, this one and others before it?
