What’s egregious about suggesting we remove term limits? It’s not a new idea, and some people think it’s a good idea.

Is that what Trump was suggesting? Holding a constitutional convention, amending the Constitution, etc.?

He has no idea how any of that would work, he just decided that he'd like to, so it's fine and he's been treated so terribly (womp womp).

In other words, he’s just disregarding the Constitution, and his cult followers are happy to justify/retcon whatever dumb sh*t he says.

Yes, as usual.

Term limits for presidents began in 1951. Wow, how did that happen? Maybe they passed an amendment to the constitution. I guess it is possible.

That’s exactly what you’re doing. It’s what you always do. You redirect attention from Trump/the GOP by throwing out whatabouts. You minimize the GOP’s/Trump’s actions by making little jokes whenever their actions are so egregious even you can think of a defense. When you can come up with a defense, no matter how ridiculous, you sea lion away until meaning and reason are lost. You’re just a monkey flinging poo for the Trump party.

Please show me where I did it then.

If not, then f*ck off.

Blaming Democrats in order to justify the GOP becoming the party of Trump?

If Trump can truly find a way to negotiate a third term, then he probably deserves it, and should write a book about the art of the deal, because he would obviously be the best negotiator in history.

I'm not seeing it.

If nobody should believe anything he says, why is this statement about 'negotiating for a third term' even noteworthy?

That's kinda what happens when one party nominates a turd sandwich and the other counters with a giant douche. Same for 2020.

Please help me out here- - where was I placing blame on the Democrats for anything?
1 month ago - Monday 9/14/20 - 7:52:39 PM EST (GMT-5)
I think this is why you confuse Noldor and I so often- - you really don't listen to anything we actually say, but rather just respond with your talking points and assume they apply to what we post.

Trump was nominated because he is who the GOP voted for. He was and is their pick.

You can try to blame him on a turd opponent, but the GOP went all in on Trump.

My statement wasn't blaming the Dems for it. I was responding to Rag's comment about the sad state of the Presidency, which was basically a choice between Giant Douche and Turd Sandwich.

The closest I came to blaming Dems was after you brought it up, and I pointed out that the Dems aren't entirely without blame for Trump's nomination.
1 month ago - Monday 9/14/20 - 8:14:48 PM EST (GMT-5)
Sure. You’re not trying to place blame on Democrats when you say his presidency is the result of Democrats running a “turd sandwich” against a Republican “giant douche.” Democrats are completely incidental to your statement. The message you were trying to convey would have been the same if you left out Democrats all together.

Oh, never mind. You’re openly admitting to the thing you just denied.

I would love to travel to an alternate universe where obama runs for a third term and noldor’s head explodes in anger over it

I disagree with your 'interpretation'.

We had a sh*tty choice 4 years ago, we will have another sh*tty choice this November. You can cast blame on whoever you want.

I've mentioned it on other threads in the past- - the idea isn't anything new, and was actually the Democrat strategy to prop up Trump during the nomination process as he was thought to be the easiest to beat in the General election. Again, you are the one that brought up 'blaming the Dems for Trump' here.

I’m fine with it, so long as people get to vote on who they want as president. I’m absolutely NOT fine with a president taking a third term without an election.

Yeah cause a dictator would never rig an election.

What other parts of the Constitution are you okay with ignoring?
