The coronavirus that is in China. I've watched several news clips about it. Do you worry about it? Do you think that China did the right thing to lock down Wuhan?

I saw something that said it may have come from a snake.

So what is going on in your world? Our "weekend" has started and I have plenty on my to-do list. It is supposed to rain tomorrow. I am still playing catch up with school. I actually need to go back and review the math. I may just have to start going to math lab but I really don't know if there are any other students as bad at math as I am.

I want to go have wings for lunch tomorrow. How many wings can you eat for lunch? What is your favorite sauce?

Is it just passed from animal to human and not human to human? That’s what I thought PBS said.

I eat wings like four or five at a time but never as a meal by itself really.

I like blue cheese for wings.

My patient just had "the flu" and her oxygen is strangely low. I hope it's not a bad coronavirus thing. She hasn't travelled or anything.

Is your math a specific kind? Like "algebra" or "math for allied health" or "intro to math" or what?

I can't do wings for lunch. But i eat about 6 or so usually

Oh and a sweet, non spicy sauce

Wings for me are like fish. I could eat a whole load and not realise that I'm full until I get up and have a stomach ache. Even then it's very satisfying.
And a spicy sauce or ketchup.

I have so much washing to do and with my husband and son out, I'm trying to get it all done today.
I ate shish kebabs with chillie sauce 2 days ago and I think it's given my daughter a bad tummy. She keeps vomitting milk out because of trapped gas. So I'm spending a lot of time just rubbing her back and stomach to try to ease it a little.

What concerns me is China's tactic of covering up the severity of this. I'd feel much better if I knew all the facts so that I could make an informed decision of to whether or not I want to travel to Asia. While the region is huge, we still don't have a handle on how easily this can be spread, and travel by plane isn't too appealing right now.

I’ve already booked a trip over that way, but it’s not until may, so I’m just hoping for the best

a relative of mine works in the far east. some of the pictures he shares to the family group are pretty breathtaking and i've wanted to go. but i'm with you on this, it's pretty tricky to travel there considering we don't know all the facts about the virus and planes are probably the easiest places to get sick.

Another case in the US, now it’s Illinois.

There is so far no human to human contamination outside of China, but there is in China.

Interesting article about World Health Organization monitoring

The people who died all had pre conditions that weakened their immune system.

Oh wow. I have been away pretty much all day and didn't see this yet.

It does worry me because of how it has spread so fiercely. I don't have a weakened immune system but I worry about my other family members. My husband suggested we go get Chinese food today and I was like...no. I am being extra careful. How can we know 100% that none of the workers went over there or else received a package from there with the germ on it? I want more information. Can this be spread by packages also...like if someone sneezes on something in a package can it be transferred to the new person who touches it? Probably not. But I still worry.

We didn't get wings! I slept too late to make lunch.

The human to human propagation is made by people in direct contact with the contaminated.

This math course is just Math 101, just basic math. But it is not like the remedial math I took at the other college...it was more basic.

None of my math classes will be specific to my program. I have this class, which was optional, and algebra and physics are the two that are the required courses for my program.

Oh lawd I just read they are testing a dude from TN for it. He is like an hour and a half drive from where we live.

Whew, new article says he tested negative.

When I stopped into the drugstore yesterday to pick up a few things, two people came in and asked the clerk where the masks were. I wasn't even thinking about coronavirus, just the flu, etc. But she said they've had a spike in people asking for masks since that started making news, and are sold out. Possibly not surprisingly, the couple who came in were international students (large Asian student population here). Students just came back this past week, and the initial symptoms pretty much just look like the common cold.

I'm like Puller, and can eat more wings than I reasonably should in a sitting without realizing it. I usually get one step down from the hottest sauce on the menu (because that hottest one tends to be for people who don't care about flavor), with blue cheese and celery.

I like the cherry jalapeno sauce on wings. Yummy.

I don't see a lot of people wearing masks here.

It's actually not all that uncommon to see some people walking around with masks on during regular flu season here. I think it's just more common in west Asian countries to do that, and like I said, large student population. So I understand the run on masks...especially if you and a large portion of your friend group has just returned from China less than a week ago.

What countries do you consider to be 'West Asian'?

It's very common in Japan...

Sorry, I meant east (and southeast) Asian, not west. There are a lot of students here from China, South Korea, and Vietnam in particular.

Yes, that makes more sense.
