I'm apparently doomed, as I've had a mostly empty pantry for months. That said, I think being ground zero helped Seattle. People have mostly adjusted already and stores have been staying well stocked. No changes in my usual veggie and meat buys. It is funny seeing what is low though. The aisles tell tales of people trying out cooking for the first time in who knows how long.

There's truth to that- - the Ramen noodle section was bare at the grocery last night...

The only Corona stockpile that anyone needs...

Tsk, tsk. Naming their beer after a virus wasn't a good marketing plan.

Never forget.

Aw, thank you Fanta

My husband just went to the shop for some toys and he's saying that there's no TP, no water, and all the long life milk products shelves are empty.
I've never had long life milk but it doesn't sound appealing.

When you said 'ripple milk' I thought you meant chocolate Ripple milk and got excited. Ripple is quite nice.

I already have tons of lentils, dried beans, rice, frozen vegetables.

Today I bought potatoes (on sale 5lb/99cents) garlic, big bag of onions, cheese, to make those staples palatable.

Potatoes and onions were already gone from my store.

They might be by now in the evening. I try to avoid grocery stores unless it's opening time (fewer people). I think they had a huge potato stock because they're on sale this week for st. Patrick's day.

My fridge is empty so I’ll be attempting to shop tomorrow!

Wonder if we will start running out of meat and beg if all the farmers get bloody corona

we always use long life milk...it's fine..

my dad has always been a bit of a stockpiler...the freezer is full...we make our own bread and have plenty of flour and yeast...we have enough food to last weeks..except for fresh fruit and vege..plenty of food for the animals......we'll be fine..

Long life milk has just been heat treated to kill off ll the bacteria. It has a very slightly different taste that you might be aware of if you used it for breakfast cereal. Not in Coffee or Tea.

I'm adding alcohol to my next delivery order

I have 4 cases of bottled water but haven't bought any recently. I just normally stock up on that anyway since SLC tends to be dry with hot summers.

Hey neighbor! I'm up in Ogden and winco was weird last night, shelves emptied, literally no rice, pasta, salads, coffee etc. Even the bulk bins were empty. However, the freezer with Beyond Meat products was full so I splurged there.
I came home from Moab yesterday and passing through SLC, I saw the lines wrapping around Costco.

Vodka, gin or whiskey?

I thought it might be a good idea to get a digital thermometer as mine probably packed up about 15 years ago.

Looked on line: 425 sold in the last hour. 6 left. 1 sold as I was looking at the screen. I bought 1 too.

Hello. I'm up in Tacoma looking around. Bars and restaurants are closed but grocery store still open. I'll be coming through Sunday on way home.

I did a little stockpiling today. Way too late though. Two loaves of expensive pumpernickel because that was all they had left. Two small things of peanut butter for the same reason. Prince Edward vegetable mix? I think it’s just multicolored green beans. I have a freezer full of meat and pork already. Supposedly they’re trying to stabilize shelf stocking by changing hours but we don’t appear to be there yet. There was no pasta. I’m going to need rice soon. I might go out again and see if I can get rice. And possibly more peanut butter. Peanut butter is a crucial element of my emergency apocalypse plan.

I usually get pumpernickel cheap- - I see it often in the bakery clearance section...

I got parboiled rice and put one of the loaves of bread in the freezer.

Nappies, tinned food, rice, pasta, snacks all being collected on peoples shelves at home.
I sht you not, all the Pakistani/Indians in my areas are going and getting 10 bags of flour and rice each. And now they're putting the prices up to take advantage of the panic buys. It's crazy. All the supermarkets are almost empty, Asian shops, Jamaican shops, people lining up at 6am. Even 24hr superstores are closing for the night in order to restock. Limits per customers, even online.

My nephew and his family live in a very rural area. They have one grocery store and a couple dollar stores. All wiped out.

They drove an hour to visit before we all get locked down, and to hopefully get some stuff.

Brought them to Aldi, where they were about to get an entire shopping cart full of groceries for a fraction of the price the stupid rural grocery stores charge (since they know they have no competition).
