I got meat this morning!

And frozen broccoli.
And some other staples that we go through quickly... bread eggs.

You found bread?

I actually really enjoy restaurant quality food way more than home cooked food and am still eating out, going through the drive thru. No dining in. I feel the food is just as safe as the workers in grocery stores handling the food packages there... I will really not be happy if restaurants close because that is one joy I have in life. Restaurant quality food!

I personally haven't had any trouble getting bread when needed.

Since I went keto I rarely have been eating outside from home, but I hope for economy and jobs sake that the restaurants keep going.

And my husband and kid like their Dominos.

My bread aisle was mostly empty, but there was flour and yeast and sugar. That's bread!

We've had just the opposite at our local grocery- - no flour or sugar, but plenty of bread...

If people understood the struggles for us supermarket workers they would stop panic buying so much.

Today our delivery was that large they had to send two lorries to deliver it, i checked and we had 30 cages delivered, the store cant even hold that many cages.

Our footfall has gone from in the 900's to almost 3500 a day and is just crazy.

The bread companies have had to cancel their deliveries for this weekend to actually give themselves time to get on top of the orders and try and bake more, and that is with every bread and milk company who deliver to us reducing the range so they can keep their core products still coming in.

There is deffinately more than enough food in production and distribution but people just need to chill the F out and stay at home!

Maybe use some of those cages and lock up the hoarders...

Last night I could not even find cake mix at Kroger. I have to bake my little boy his first Birthday cake. I have until Wednesday to find cake mix.

You don't need a mix to make a cake...though I don't know how flour and sugar stocks are at your store. I was able to get some.

much respect to you, ceep, and every grocery worker right now. I've been tongue-in-cheek about the panic but definitely do not think buying alllll the TP, water, and bread sandwich ingredients is the way to go.

I just go out and get what I need when I need it. I can pretty much get what I need. I'm not in charge of the toilet paper at our house, so I don't worry too much. I'm cooking dinner tonight and while I couldn't get EXACTLY what I wanted for some things, I still got something equivalent. I couldn't get Hillshire Farm turkey sausage so I had to get a more expensive one and it'll be more fattening. And the first store I went to didn't have any reduced fat French onion dip, so I had to get regular. Should've waited and checked the second store.

I bought the last 3 bags of vitamin c drops at the store today. That's an everyday item for me regularly just now it's not as plentiful

hoarder!!

Let them all see how much good tp does when they have a dry throat.

I am laughing that these stores are not accepting returns of the stuff, and that the price gougers are being stopped. These hoarders are going to have so much TP.

Now if they go to sell it at yard sales when all this is said and done, no one should buy it from them, no matter how cheap. They need to learn a lesson!

It's not like it ever expires. Ending up with lots of TP isn't the worst of disasters.

I know you're winking after but still putting it out there that there's definitely a difference between hoarding and being prepared not to go to a grocery store every day

I went to pick up prescription this morning while it was early and took a look in the supermarket as it opened. It was quiet and reasonably well stocked I bought clementines strawberries and mushrooms. Nobody was freaking out and filling up crazy amounts of stuff. rice and pasta were very low Boxes of Mother's Day chocolates were in abundance

Our grocery stores have started having designated shopping hours for those in the higher risk category.
