Because he's the pied piper.

His song gets people to dance on the way to their destruction.

Trade war with China? It fun to stick it to the chinks with tarrifs. Who cares if we destroy exports and ruin farmers in the process.

It's not that i hate him just that he has the wrong job. He should go back to bad reality tv and running casinos into the ground.

Yes, hate is a strong word. However, I do not only think he's a (harmless?) fool.
He's also the antithesis to what I personally think a world leader, head of state, representative of a scociety should stand for in regard to values.
I think people like him actually make the world a worse place.

He's a lying, psychopathic, pussy grabbing, racist who thinks it's OK to mock the disabled, piss on veterans and put children in cages. There's something to like about him?

I dislike him but he's not as bad as the liberals think.

there are some liberals who compare him to hitler. having had relatives who lived in actual nazi germany and hearing the stories being passed down, trump would need to do a lot more than just say "ban mexicans and muslims" to be like hitler.

The point of the Hitler comparison is to stop him before he becomes like Hitler.
I don’t think he is, but he is by far the worse man for the job ever, and he tainted the political landscape of most democracy for at least a generation.

If I found the correct translation it's more a “Resist the Beginnings: Consider the End” thing.
Trump is undermining democratic institutions, he's lowering the limits of public discourse, he denigrates his critics including the press. That's how autocratic systems usually begin, that's how Nazism in Germany began and that's why some people use this comparision. It's not "Trump is planning a World War or holocaust". It's "beware"!

Yes, that is exactly it. For example, it becomes pretty difficult to NOT make the comparison when he's using the slogan that American fascists used during the WWII era ("America First!").

It's also hard not to make it when he calls factual stories that are simply negative about him "fake news." Several of his supporters have even gone old-school and just literally yelled "Lügenpresse!" at members of the media.

Then there's the "Hail, Trump! Hail, Victory!" Richard "I got punched for being a Nazi" Spencer made famous.
